tubes and spinny things!
That's the amplifier from the H-100/200/300 series consoles. Two stereo channels running EL84's with a pair of 7591's for the bass channel. Not very useful apart from being a source for output iron without the separate power supply chassis, which has a large PT and two 5AR4 rectifiers.
Never heard of one being adapted for hi-fi...I'm sure someone's used the iron in them for something. That's probably the best way to make use of an AO-70 in a hi-fi project...harvest the iron from it and use it for a scratch build. Gutting the un-needed circuits and tube sockets from the chassis will have that thing looking like Frankenstein's Swiss cheese...
