Help me identify this part Tascam DA-30

Hi all,

I was cleaning a Tascam DA-30 MK I deck and i found this part inside, near capstan motor.

Anyone can identify where it came from??

that almost looks like a retainer clip. I would see if I could get a exploded picture of the tape transport listing all of the parts used/needed.

Are you sure it came from the DA-30 ?

I have serviced several DA-30 and it doesn't seem familiar.

I was cleaning the transport from the old grease and found it inside... no idea if it's from the deck itself or something else.

Service manual doesn't have it and the unit working fine without it...

Can't be a clip... material is extremely thin to hold anything. More like a friction shim or something.

I wonder if it's actually part of a cassette and not from deck itself?

Yea, it looks like a battery clip, the scuffed part is where it was welded to something else?

I have no idea... found it like this inside the housing. Its not scuffed, there are 2 tiny holes

That's what it sometimes looks like when it's tack welded, I have BMW Fobs that had "lifetime" batteries, the welded part needs to be scrapped off with a razor and then soldered back on when it's done, like this. The brown/silver round part is the battery.
