My Son of Ampzilla is 80 watts, at least it was back in the day. Maybe now it is worn out over time. But I hardly use more than a watt anyway most of the time, so that is more than enough.

Down to 50wpc from the Moon 250i V2. Can alw ays change to the 100wpc or 60wpc Bryston integrated or 100wpc Sony. But, neither the Harbeth 7Cs or I need more.

I just sent one out for restoration. Love this amp!

My McIntosh MC275 MKVI is rated at 75 WPC, but bench-tested at over 90 WPC. Perfectly adequate with 105 dB 1W/1M horns in 900 cubic-foot listening room—even when I want to crank it—to get the Led out.

This week we're at an honest 30 per channel.

Last week the amp claimed 65 per channel, but I've never bothered to measure it. I'm sure it makes at least 50 though.

Couple weeks before that, about 22 per channel.

My Polks seem to do well with anything over about 20 per channel. I've run them as low as 4 per channel, it sounds good, just doesn't quite get enough volume.

My AR D400 is 400 wpc @ 4 ohm. Hafler xl-600 is 305 wpc @8 ohm, Rotel rb-1092 is a 1000 wpc@4 ohm.

We listen at 2 watts, but having another couple hundred for headroom and transients, makes a world of difference.

Honsetly.

I dunno, my Motorola console tube amp 1961 HS-960A EL-84 is 20-25W total all three channels. (R/L & Base)

And I barely crack that vol control

Want lots o watts how about my Phase Linear 700 at 350wpc into 8 ohms before all the mods
Want quality watts with sonic bliss my Heathkit WM-5's with KT66's
Daily driver at the bench a pair of Heathkit aa-161's with 6BQ5's, punch way above their weight
Would love to get my hands on a SET amp one day.

Do you have high efficiency speakers to go with a SET? SEP (Single Ended Pentode) amps like the ubiquitous 6BQ5 amps salvaged from old consoles give a good idea of SETs at minimal cost, if not free.

I look forward to trying one out. Picked up a Magnavox 8604 with the upgraded transformers at Frankenfest earlier this year. Purchased the remaining components to do the full DG mods. Hopefully this Fall I will be listening to 3.5 watts of single ended glory!

Have both Forte’s and Cornwalls should fit the high efficiency bill nicely. Are you planning on sharing progress on that interesting build sir?
