The original D-55000 Everest is just a fond memory, but the link that I've posted is to the AWESOME and GORGEOUS DD-66000 New Everest. This Mindblowing design is the culmination of 60 soild years of leading edge technology by our good friends at JBL. A new 4" PURE BERYLLIUM FOIL DIAPHRAGMED/ NEO magnet compression driver and twin 15" drivers/Charge Coupled crossover network plus a supertweeter (045Be.) that also uses a Beryllium diaphragm. I don't think that anything is better IMHO. The word from those in the know is that the spec's don't tell the whole story at first glance either.

As for the B&W 801s, Vandersteen 2cs, Thiel 3.6s, Bozak Concert Grands, Yamaha NS1000s, Quad ESLs (or Kelly (KFA888's) rare Superquads), Magnepans, and Apogees- well, all lovely, of course, but just another sugar cube in my already sweet cup of coffee.
