INSPIRE STEREO TUBE AMPLIFIER by DENNIS HAD

i just received my Fire Bottle today and man o man!!!, this thing sounds soooo nice!!!, the soundstage is very nice! LET ME TELL YOU IT HAS THAT 3D EFFECT ON THE WAY THE MUSIC COMES OUT, i am currently listening to FS " NIce and Easy" album and you can hear when FS inhales/exhales before singing the words or on the end of line notes..the Letter "S" is pronounced but not overbearing.."TH" in every words are there. One thing i notice is, if you have a bad record it will sound bad...But if you have a good MSFL copy, you will love the sound!!!..My unit came with JJ tubes and im still burning it in..I DID NOT MAKE MISTAKE GETTING ONE OF THIS FROM DENNIS!!.. Looking forward in getting a Fire Bottle Pre from him soon!!!..

GOOD JOB DENNIS!!! AND THE FOLKS HERE IN FORUM!:thmbsp:

How do I go about buying one of Dennis' products? Can someone please tell me who I need to contact and give me more information about buying?

Thanks,
Steven

Thanks for the info! I got in contact with Dennis and bought this beautiful amplifier last night along with a matching preamp. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showpost.php?p=6936956&postcount=29

Dennis calls it "almond mocha with burl walnut". I personally think it's the most beautiful amplifier I've ever seen. Can't wait to get it next week. The preamp will be another week or two since it's not yet built. Luckily I've got a couple preamps on hand to use while it's being built.

I have no experience with 807 tubes so I've no idea how it might sound. Hell, I've actually got little to no experience with tubes at all so a tube amp and tubed preamp in my system will be completely new for me. Very excited to say the least.

Steven-

You will love the that Sweet 807!, congrats on the purchase!!! Dennis is a great guy to deal with to if you have questions.

I noticed the amps posted here are low wattage amps. Does Dennis build any 25watters up? Does he have a website? Thanks......

I think I can answer this one. No the highest power amps he currently builds are in the 5-10 WPC range. You would have to go to Cary Audio Designs to get one of his higher power designs. And no he doesn't currently have a website. You can PM me for details on how to contact him. The more AK'ers that he hears from the more likely I can convince him to become an AK vendor....

I have the same question as Steven. Listings for Inspire come and go on eBay. Is there a more direct way to order/buy? And to find out more info about specific models, options, etc. Thanks.

I do not think so as Dennis Had retired from Cary Audio. He owned Cary and likely tired of the politics, schedules, etc.

Just contact Dennis through ebay and he can recommend an amp for you and schedule build based on your amp choice/color/options. Nice guy to work with. He was going to build me a KT77 based SET amp, but due to issues on my side the project is temporarily on hold.

I'm just curious, are you a member of the Tsleil-Waututh or a fan of Chief Dan George? He was great in The Outlaw Josie Wales and Little Big Man.

That's correct...

I've seen them and heard them. Dennis borrowed a couple of vintage quads of 6V6s to compare against new manufacture tubes. They're very nice, with his signature sound and build quality. He calls them the QMB-25 for 25 watt quad mono block and are a parallel SEP configuration with a single 6N7 driver.

Just heard from Dennis yesterday that my new "Fire Bottle" is on its way.

I have the sweet 807. I wonder how the new 6L6 Fire Bottle sounds compared to the 807 model.
