Hard to believe he's "retired"! Great guy and superb equipment.
His seller page is the best way to contact him:

Rich,
Pleasure meeting you the other day. And as I'm sure you can tell, retired is only a state of mind with Mr. Had. He's been toying with taking over the space next to his, but he knows all too well that his "hobby" business will expand to engulf the available space.
I guess you've seen the pix of the 45 amp I left behind at Dennis' shop?
As I left it...
And for the benefit of others....
Gotta love the blue glow....
Up the skirts....
Here's what he did:
New proper coupling caps (looks like Kimber 0.22uF with a .022uf bypass)
Proper by=pass cap on auto bias
Copper/gold plated output posts
Gold Plated RCA input
******* Type 83 mercury vapor rectifier *********
Rear panel main power switch
Front panel stand-by operate switch (let the 83 warm up for a couple of minutes)
He also looked at the circuit and it's characteristics and changed the 6SN7 to a 6SL7as a better match to the circuit and coincidentally increased gain. I'm going to go over for a listen on Tues....

The best thing is that this amp will eventually make it back to my stable...:thmbsp: Having Dennis as a friend is a wonderful thing!
The bigger news for fans of his gear is that he's already ordered the parts to make a 45 amp of his own, with all the improvements he's been refining as he continues his audio journey. Some of you may remember that he once built custom order 45 monoblocks as a
Cary one off.
He says you can still get good new 45's from Sophia, so for fans of his work and of flea powered toob amps, you heard it here first.
