Is this normal: Sansui 8900ZDB power supply

I recently acquired this Sansui 8900ZDB. It works 100%. But while cleaning the inside, I noticed the power supply looks a bit disheveled. Is this normal?

Those insulation layers are not wound as tidily as they could be, but look OK to me - pretty normal. By the time 8900ZDB was being produced, I am guessing Sansui had their transformers made for them, and no longer made by Sansui themselves as they were in the early days.

This thread should really be in 'Exclusively Sansui' ? - as it isn't an equipment review.
