Anyone know where to buy James Transformers(JS-6132HSF) here in the good ole USA. I really hate to consider overseas dealings.

Nope, haven't tried them in this application. Im pretty set on the James OT, I could step it down a notch (6123)but James OT is what I am going to get. I liked their sound, quality and looks in a previous build so Im just staying with what I know.

Great reasons to go for these hh; I love how these sound - stay the coarse.

Wish I could help on a US distributor - the one I had saved as a possible years ago doesn't sell them anymore. I've bought mine as part of group buys direct from James orchestrated by an HK native friend who used to be a regular buyer, always worked out fine.

Were you able to get the transformers? I'm thinking about the JS-6132HSF too, to replace the stock one's in my Musical Paradise, I would be very curious to hear your thoughts on them :)

I sent them an email, that is their direct site. I'm going to order a JS-6123HS since I can try it in my 300B, 2A3, and EL84 amps, I'll run THD scans with my HP8903B and posts the results. I know that El Paso Tube amps on YouTube made a video of one of their Push Pull outputs and it performed beautifully, I'm curious to see if their single ended outputs do just as well.

I enquired to James about ordering transformers and they directed me to the folks in post #7.

Pretty sure that tctubes is a reseller they're based in the US and James is made in Taiwan. When you inquired to James how did you reach them? what email?

The only other thing I can think of, is how a while ago everyone seemed to run out of their output transformers, the listings on eBay disappeared, a lot of the resellers' sites listed them as out of stock, maybe they knew that tctubes still had some in stock?

Right, TC is sorta like a dealer. James told me it would most likely be cheaper to buy through TC due to shipping.

Don't recall the email, it's been a while. I ended up going with Edcor.

OK I inquired to TC also but went with the factory. They are substantially cheaper than anywhere else or were last summer when I started this thread. The only con is, to get the severely discounted price, you have to be willing to accept the slow boat from Taiwon shipping. It took about 2 months to get them delivered but saved me close to 130 USD. Since I wasn't in any hurry it was the logical way to go in my case. I couldnt be happier.

Awesome Build! one question though don't you run the risk of the two center transformers coupling since they're oriented the same?
