JBL P20 bookshelf

They actually gave me that discount because I asked about the return policy, on the grounds that I wasn't sure if 6-ohm speakers would work with my system or not. I knew they would, but was just trying to think of a plausible reason to be able to return them if I had buyer's remorse.

Buyer's remorse for a 10$ pair of JBL's? :scratch2:

I no longer have my little JBL's hooked up, since i bought a 2nd pair of Axioms, but you know, I kind of miss them!
Might have to create a bedroom system for them.

I need to give mine a decent system as well. My TV viewing has plummeted the past couple years, so the P20s have been sitting idle mostly. I'd like to get a little system together for my kids' room (paired with a Sherwood RX-4109 and a Technics SL-B2 TT--I'll have to pick up a used DVDP or CDP for it) and get them going, too. I tried something similar a couple years ago, but it didn't take!

Just a little update ...

Anyway, I will continue to rely on these guys for the next couple weeks, but have plans to pair them with a spare Sherwood RX-4109 I have laying around, and build a nice two-channel sound system for my new LCD TV, Blu-ray, Dish Network setup.

Another update. After using the in my TV system for a couple years, I put the speakers and the Sherwood together with a thrift store Sony CDP and gave my sister up on SF a system I wouldn't mind listening to whenever I come up to visit. Enjoying it right now, as a matter of fact!

Paid $10 for mine about 5 yrs. ago. They are OK, but they have some sonic limitations compared to my Infinity's. I recently bought some Polk Monitor 5jr's,

so now I get to choose which to keep! (The Inifinity's are stayin' put)

The P20s have limitations but also have a sweet sound if combined with the right amp/receiver. I paired mine with an onkyo and sounded good, but when I hooked it to a Toshiba SA-2500 that I had laying around I was surprised how good they sounded. Not super loud, but mellow and warm.
