JBL Studio 530s are in the vinyl room...............

Just picked up a pair of JBL Studio 530’s for $100. These things are scary good when fed from my Bel Canto REF601M mono blocks. They are making me question why I’ve spent thousands on other speakers. Unbelievable.

@lissenup great purchase!
I gave a pair of 530s to my father and a pair pair to my son and just recently purchased another pair for myself - in the box and all. If I saw a pair for $100 I’d buy them without hesitation. Yeah, I’m a fan of these too.

James B Lansing has been putting horns and cones together for a very long time, it is a combination that once heard, you realize that it has sonic qualities that other technologies just don’t match. The range, the ability to reproduce strings, voices, wind instruments as if the native source, and the dynamics of a breath at the same time as a screaming sax.

I should have bought 590s when they were new, the several times they were offered at a great price, would love to hear a pair and compare them to other JBL & Altec horn-loaded speakers but never have, … but if you found a pristine pair of 530s for a Benjamin maybe I should start watching the used market, … the 5x0 series was exceptional (especially at the price-point they hit).
