Hi!
Not sure where you are located but here in Sweden that would be too expensive for a L75 in its original form. Unless it's in top notch condition with good cartridge and stylus.
And have been maintained and serviced (new tonearm v-blocks, motor and platter bearings cleaned and lubricated etc).
Here average sales price for stock L75 in decent running shape is usually half of that.
But if you're in a market where they are more scarce it may be justified.
Supply and demand...
But anyhow: it's a good deck with great potential for modifications!

You're probably set to view items from the US only. There's another one from Knoxville in stock form for $1099.99. It means diddly squat. I don't even think these people want to sell. eBay had introduced some quirks to the laws of supply and demand that are mainly due to misinterpretations of what a listing price is. It is just the seller's desires, wet dreams and sometimes just a placeholder to save listing fees in the future. Expand your search criteria to include Europe and you could follow a new dormant German auction where a stock form L-75 is now at the starting bidding price of €100. Follow that. When it ends - you'll get a pretty good idea of the L-75 market value.

Well, I'm not sure how L75 and L70 (Bogen B62) compare in price, but I've been watching the market for the L70 and reading about some restoration and mod options. I have one in decent shape and a restoration kit...just not sure when to start the project. Anyways, a restored L70 seems to be worth between 400-600 depending on cosmetic condition. Some interesting reads and mods out there about these tables.

Just found out more info it is the rare 50/60 hz motor the gentlemen's father was in the military overseas and got it while he was in the service and I ultimately talked him down to 275$

I think that was a decent buy. I have a tricked out Lenco 78 in a big massive plinth.
The second heavy platter I bought in the UK was a bit over $100 with shipping.
I second Lenco Heaven. Huge amount of information, helpful folks.
I learned a lot there, bought an arm (FR-24 MKII), new idler, new bearing/spindle and some other bits based on the recommendations.
Many cool modded tables, cartridge matching and so on...
