I went through a Leonard Cohen phase when I was younger in college.

Suzanne has to be one of the most haunting tunes I ever heard.

[jonman]

Famous Blue Raincoat has always been one of my favorites.

[spartanmanor]

Hallelujah

[Mystic]

Definitely a fan of Cohen.

[JohnVF]

I'm a fan. Simple moody great lyrics, what's not to like?

[modge]

Realy liked him for years

[theWB]

IMHO ~ Some of the best lyrics ever written.

Try an album called Blue Alert from Anjani, many of the lyrics were taken from started and unfinished lyrics Cohen had lying around. The title track came from some hand written lines she found laying on his desk.
"There's perfume burning in the air/Bits of beauty everywhere."

If you are a Cohen fan this is a must have. Recorded on analog tape this is definatly one of the better recordings in my collection.

I love Famous Blue Raincoat by J Warren. I have some of his lp's and enjoy them, but find them a bit dark. A great wordsmith.

[FoolForARadio]

The songs of Leonard Cohen.

Tonight, I was listening to Damien Rice imitating Jeff Buckley doing this Cohen song. I have not heard LC version. Good huh?

IMHO
Jeff Buckley's version is the best I've heard.
