RIP Leonard Cohen

A great artist who created great art (some of which he set to music). I will never tire of these...

RIP LC

Thank you Mr. Cohen for all your hard work.

"Things are going to slide, slide in all directions
Won't be nothing, nothing you can measure anymore
The blizzard of the world has crossed the threshold
and it has overturned the order of the soul."

"Love's the only engine of survival"

-The Future (1992)

"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything
That's how the light gets in"

I've been a fan of Mr. Cohen's music for so long now, since both of us were struggling with chronic depression in the 1980s, and his music has been such a part of my life and mental health recovery since then.. Thank you, Field Commander Cohen.

RIP, thanks for everything that you provided us. :bye:

Cohen kinda reminds me of Van Gogh, who also suffered from fits of depression that found their way into his works that he was able to lament about and share with others who also had this mental obstacle in their lives.

Fortunately, Leonard had means through a legacy that allowed him both the time and a chance to travel that greatly influenced his writings.

I think as time goes on, people will have a chance to experience his poetry and haunting melodies, a deeper appreciation with develop that have hitherto been overlooked.

RIP
