fan right here, saw him do one of the shows of my lifetime a few weeks ago

I met him years ago at a Mensa meeting where I became as popular as a skunk at a picnic. Cohen made the off hand comment that people with high IQs rarely appreciated poetry. A woman in front of me said that was probably true of men as men do not appreciate poetry. I responded that in today's society (30s, 40s & 50s) men were mostly raised by their mothers and 90 percent of their teachers in school were women, so if she did not like the results that was just too bad. Of course the fact she was saying this to a male poet did not seem to dawn on her. It did not stop her talking out of her butt.
