As a teen, I took the speakers off my JVC PC-5 component boombox and wanted to see how they sounded in my car. I forgot to take them out and they were stolen that night.
. As I walked in to my condo I put down my groceries and heard a scraping noise I looked over to see some Ahole trying to pry my living room balcony door open ! he hadn't noticed me yet because I had entered through the kitchen and was now obscured by a plant in between my dining area and living room this gave me time a few seconds to get over the initial shock and lose my temper , finally Ahole noticed me it could have been the fire shooting outa my ears not sure and he was on a balcony he had to get off of about 15ft up I saw him scramble to get over the side , I dialed 911 and told the cops you better get to him before I do then I grabbed a fish bonker and through the front door went after his ass ! I ran the way I figured he would the way to the train away from here ! but no sight of him , I thought this a lil weird because I'm pretty quick so I started to back track . I was basically back at my condo furious and I saw a bush wiggling about 50ft away , I knew that bush ! I saw it everyday ! it doesn't wiggle ! I went ballistic chased him across a small park where he hid from me under a bush , I explained to him if he much as farted or blinked I would end his meaningless life right there right now . About this time the police were jogging towards us and I swear trying to keep straight faced as it musta looked crazy me a slender 150lb guy in cutoffs with a fish bonker bouncing about 4 ft in the air breathing fire . Go ahead make my day punk .In 1960 after getting out of the service I went to work for Big Blue.
In 1961 I bought a Thorens TD-124 w/ a shure M91 cart. It was a budget stretch. That TT served me well until 1991 when it was stolen from temporary storage. About ten years later it came up on ebag. I notified the seller that it was a stolen item he didn't even respond and blew me off. I still have the original sales receipt. When the sales was concluded the price was about $780. That's almost 5 times what I paid for it in 1961. :tears:
This happened Dec. 14, 2004. A guy forced himself in my door and tried to stick me up. I removed his pistol from his possession, shot him with it and made him crawl out of my house.
One of my neighbors called 911 for me. When the cops arrived they laughed at him. I ended up gong to court several times as a witness for the prosecution.
It's funny how you remember the exact date for something like that.
Oh, I thought you wanted a list of the stuff I stole. :scratch2:
