mac 4100

I have a counterpoint tube amplifier and was wondering if it would be a good idea to use to power my mac 4100 or is the 4100 best left alone ?

Please explain more about what you're thinking about. I'm having trouble following the logic.

IMHO, the 4100 is a really, really nice receiver standing alone.

I was thinking about using the preouts on the mac 4100 and using the counterpoint for the power bypassing the 4100 amplifier section, using the 4100 as a preamp.

Give it a try. Experimenting is the fun part of this hobby.

It isn't something that I would do as I would be more interested in digging up a tube pre and use that. Or, just use the one that I have.
