Can you get the numbers off the amp and tuner chassis inside? The schematics are listed by those numbers. Usually they are large black ink stamps.

Hi , Yes, the amp is 314113 and the tuner is 5914-10. I haven't pulled them out yet to see if there are any more numbers. Thanks for your help, I'm sort of new at this stuff.

Check for other numbers or, better yet, post a pic of the amp.

5914-10 sounds like a valid number for tuner - I have a schematic for 5900-5911 that should be close. 314113 could be the EIA code for the chassis metal - if so, 113 is 1961, week 13.

The model you reference is for the Cabinet, in order for schems for the components check on the top or sides of the chassis to see if you can find something like this

More then likely it's going to be either a 93XX or 88XX series amp, with the 175's & 185's coming before 1961

88XX series (see attached)

Looks like 8601-10. Is this the correct # and does someone have a schematic that would work.

My amp appears to have 8601-10 stamped on top. Thanks for your help, really appreciated.

Hi, Should I replace the resistors with carbon comp as the originals or use carbon film ones? Also, is it ok to make them 1w vs 1/2 watt?

Some of these carbon comp ones are quite expensive. Does it make any difference in percieved sound?

Metal film are very quiet and what I use in my amps. Given how small modern 1W resistors can be made, that's what I use.

Will a bad cartridge only allow sound from one channel? I have good sound on one channel, but very muted on the other. If I hook up both green speaker wires on the loud terminal, all the speakers sound good. But I think I only have one channel working.
