marantz 2440 for $150

In my opinion, the price is pretty high for a 2440. It's not a 4 channel amp, but an "adaptor" which powers two more speakers in conjunction with a 2 channel amp/receiver to make a 4 channel system.
Can you clarify what you mean by "act as an A/B?" The 2440 may do it, it's just that the price is high-unless it's brand new, still in the box, or something.

what i mean by 'act as an a/b switch': i ran speaker wire into my kitchen and put some speakers there, then i got this dang marantz surround receiver w/o knowing it didn't have a/b switching capability. so to listen to the speakers in the kitchen i have to have the marantz on one of the surround modes, all of them sound strange/bad. so i was thinking i could get a quad adaptor. then i would set up the surround in the living room and use the quad to play the speakers in the kitchen. i'm really frustrated . . . to the point of wanting to fix the problem, wanting to fix wanting to fix, arg arg no idea what would work . . .
