I had that preamp and also had its mate the Marantz 250 power amp. Sounded quite good.

The Marantz 3300 should work well with just about any amp you're likely to come across. If I recall it has plenty of output...3 volts if I'm not mistaken. That's more than the average amp needs to be driven to full output. 1.5 to 2 v is quite common.
Hook 'um up and give 'um a good listen. Tell us what you discover.
I occasionally put a 3300 in my main system. While not my absoulte favorite. It's hard to find fault with the 3300 preamp.

I used the 3300 with my Dynaco ST70 for several years. I even used the preamp section of my 2230 with the Dynaco as well. It did sound nice.

Have been running the 3300 with Marantz power amp since 1974 or 1975. No problems over all this time. Will be downsizing in the next year or so and will have to sell these - in factor of a smaller integrated, perhaps the Krell S-300i - as well as my Marantz 120 AM/FM tuner with oscilloscope for tuning and multipath. Of course if probably helps that they are driving IMF TLS-50s (transmission line). On eBay, people are currently asking $1,000 for the '250' and $500 for the '120'; there is no '3300' currently listed. Other components include a Rega Planar 25 TT with a high-out-put Benz-Micro glider MC cartridge;
Camelot Technology DC-powered Lancelot Pro phono-pre-amp; Carver vacuum tube CD player; Assemblage UBJ-1 jitter reducer; MSB Link-DAC DAC with dedicated power base; Wadia 170i and 171i iDevice dock/transport units.

Wow $300 is amazing prize,consider that it bought $120(1USD=9000IDR) years ago..... today our currency is very bad 1USD=14300 IDR our money. Imagine that US will increase the interest rate in few weeks later,our currency will going down.......oh How expensive my Marrants 3300 will be....Hopefully the currency will be normal soon.

300 is a fair price for one if it's in working condition. There have been many sold over the past year. Many selling for over 350-450 in working condition and 250-350 needing repair.

Good luck and happy listening!
