Model 19 Scope Issue

I've got a model 19 receiver, all works except the scope, the tube lights up, but nothing shows on the screen, any ideas what the problem could be?

Turn the brightness up and shut it off in the dark. See if a spot appears.

Just picked 2 up over the weekend along with a pair of 5's. The 8b sounds fantastic, got it matched with a Mac C-20 and some old JBL's, smoooth

There are quite the amplifier. Have you had them apart to see if they have been modded. The one in my avatar is completely stock- I run it on a variac to 117v spec. Got some pics?

Are there any centering controls? My 20 tuner has them, always need to reset when powering up. I don't think any kind of scope doesn't use something for centering.

All scope units have centering controls, I would hope that the OP knows better and that the 2 knobs beside the scope are centered.

When you try it, make sure...

Scope button is pushed in.

Mutipath and Tuning are out. (makes the display larger and easier to find)

Music is playing.

One knob is for vertical and the other horizontal, so play with both of them.

Let us know if you find it.

Tried all of the suggestions (thanks), still no luck, here is a picture of the scope glowing, could it still be bad if its not appearing on the display?

Strange, scope on should be in- I think you have something going on with the transistors on the driver board.

Word is...they used the TEF's on the Model 91.

When I push in the tuning button, the scope goes blank, when I push in the multipath the scope stays on, but a little different look to it.

When working properly...

The tuning button should give a little green vertical line like this...l...that you would align with the gold center line painted on the glass in front of the scope. Try moving the tuning dial when dialing in an FM station and see if it's there.

The multipath button would give you a green horizontal line like this...-...that will help you orient your antenna.

When listening to FM, do the tuning first and center the trace, then push the multipath button.

You are using an antenna correct?
