1/48 Academy Mig-21
Is that an "adversary" West German GDR MiG-21? It's odd to see a Soviet-era, East German DDR MiG-21 with Eisernes Kreuz (iron crosses).

My father was a wire line airplane guy and he got pretty good a flying the like that before he moved on to radio control. I remember when the line got stuck on something on the ground and the plane took after him with a vengeance! It was an absolute riot and us kids about busted a gut laughing at him. I build a free flight plane and free flight is what it did. I put too much gas in it, up and up it went, the wind caught it and I never saw it again.

Thanks for bringing up that memory for me, I'll never forget it! LOL

The Stuka was actually a very advanced piece of engineering for it's day and very good at what it was designed to do which was basically as long range precise airborne artillery support but because it was slow when the Luftwaffe sent them to England un-escorted it was a turkey shoot for the RAF. Sort of like how the much faster Thunderbolts and Typhoons became deadly ground attack aircraft 4 years later with more advanced weaponry
