Modelers Corner

Finding decals for marking is going to be a challenge as nobody makes them for this tank in 1/16

Have you tried Callie?

She will custom make graphics to your specification. I know her primary work is RC aircraft, but she does advertise "Custom work" so you may want to contact her to see if she will take on your tank graphics job.

Cool!how long do the batteries last?
I use 5000nmah pack in all my tanks and they will pretty well last all day. More likely to run the batteries in the radios down first. It is 3D printed so not as heavy as some of my 20lb metal tracked and hulled monsters but even they last all day. Strangely enough the guys who use LiPo batteries in their tanks normally are the ones who run out of juice. Lipos are unnecessary in RC tanks imo. I understand why they are used in rc planes and boats

Thanks. I will definitely check her out

This has to be the steal of the century. $32 US from Banggood. A very capable 1/16 RTR RC model. none of the clip on parts like door hinges/handles etc, put on. Really well put together. It is all screws and clips so can be totally torn down and put back together again after detailing the very well done interior. Is completely correct for WW2 VW. Obviously the blue will be changed to dunkelgrau or dunkelgelb. I'm getting a conversion kit for the balloon tire and notek light kommandeur Type 87 version. so impressed I ordered a second one

The partially finished projects are piling up while I await the postal system to get going and deliver so many parts. Did the VW in Afrika Korps colours but waiting for the Type 87 conversion kit for balloon tires and notek light etc. and stencils to arrive. Both are 1/16 scale. Makes you realize how small the original Beetles were and how big a tank the Panther was
