My minimalist system. Show me yours.

I just bought this early 70s little Pioneer Integrated Amp and Tuner off eBay for $109.99 shipped. Figured I'd match them up with a small pair of bookshelf speakers and a nice CD player.

Retro; You always have coolest looking toys. That's one fine looking minimalist system you have there. What models might they be? Neither one looks like anything I've seen before.

Those are an ultra-rare pair of the SA-700 Integrated Amp and TX-700 Tuner. They were made from 1970 to 1972 and sold for $200 each. I've seen them show up individually periodically on eBay, but usually never as a matched pair, and certainly not in this condition. The owner said he just recently went through cleaning and lubing them, along with re-lamping the tuner. Here is the auction number in case you're interested: 200116241656

He has excellent feedback, and it looks like he certainly knows what he's doing.

I have to say Retros' Pioneer system above and Rex_Everything's Mitsubishi system look really cool. I like simplistic approach. :thmbsp: All these systems are really perfect examples that show it doesn't take much to have nice system.

That was my minimalist system. The KS-4000 is now dead, but I'm working on a CA-800 to replace it. :) The pic was taken while I was moving the system, the receiver normally did not sit on the floor.

Now THATs minimalist. What else could a guy ask for? A comfy bed and a nice system. I like the speakers. Hook a timer to that system and it would blow the sheets off of your bed when its time to get up :D

I did some tweaking on my minimilist system so I thought I'd repost. Picked up this speaker cabinet today to replace the bookshelf speakers and make it a true mono system.
Bogen db20df amp
ElectroVoice EV15trxb speaker
Sony walkman disc player.
