Need to discover new music, feeling a bit lost

Also...afrobeat. I discovered this genre a few years ago when exploring new drumming styles to learn. I fell in love instantly...

You probably already hit these cats because you dig Can, but just in case, the newest CDs were remastered by Manuel Göttsching himself. The first Ash Ra Tempel s/t sounds like the earth opening up and swallowing itself.

This is a band that plays music from the Ande Mountain region of South America, on native instruments, Huayucaltia.
The leader is an amazing flamenco style acoustic guitar player.
These are my live recordings of them: https://archive.org/details/Huayucaltia

This footage is (I think) from the film 300 (2006), yes?

These cats are into historic war/battles as backdrop to their work. That's an interesting take on things.
