Need upgrade recommendations

Looking to upgrade my subs and tweeters but I need some recommendations! Speakers are running off a Harman hk385i with a JVC QL-F4 turn table. Eventually everything will be upgraded thanks!

there are no subs involved with you pic, but you can easily repair that woofer.
a couple vids, a few bucks and a couple hours, you'll be good to go.
just google refoaming a small woofer

Snells are pretty good speakers. If you're looking to upgrade, you'd be much better off selling those and getting something else. Speaker design involves a lot more than stuffing a woofer and tweeter in a box and calling it good.

Snell speakers are very good. If upgrading and wanting to stay vintage, a higher level Snell that is in great shape would definitely work.
If repairing these, then make sure you get the right surrounds for your Snells.

If the tweeters are working, refoam the woofers (or have them refoamed) and you are good to go. Snells are nice speakers and will mate well with the HK385i.

Don’t replace the drivers!!!!! Refoam the woofers.

Your terminology is incorrect. Your woofer foams are shot. Replace them. Tweeters? What is wrong with the hi frequencies? Are they working? If you've been playing them like that with the rotten woofer foams you may have damaged them .

I don’t follow the labeling on the rear terminals. Ordinarily 2 sets of binding posts permit biwiring and if you’re not doing that, you attach jumpers. It looks like the tweeters would not work as set up, without jumpers.

before you do anything with the tweeters, get those woofers refoamed! as for changing components, you can't just drop random parts in a box and expect it to be good. The speakers are engineered for specific components, only those components or with similar Thiele/Small parameters will work properly. If you don't know what you're doing, it may be best left to a professional.

Don't buy generic foam from the usual suspects, get Snell specific foam from Audiofriends or Audio Note in the UK
