NEW - McIntosh C22 Mk V

I plan to call McIntosh and SVS (subwoofer) tomorrow.

Anyone successfully using one of the 2 outputs on the McIntosh C22 Mk V to add a sub?

The SVS subwoofer (SB 2000 PRO) has a 16 ohm input impedance and the McIntosh c22 preamp has a 22 Ohm output impedance. Bad subwoofer selection perhaps?

I'm new to subwoofers, so I'm trying to learn about the sonic benefits of preamp (SVS) versus amp (REL) connections for subwoofers.

I use horn speakers that are lightening fast, so I need a fast subwoofer. Recommendations appreciated.

The 16-Ohm input impedance spec. did not make sense so I checked the website. The unbalance line input impedance is there listed as 16 kOhm (16,000 Ohm), which is a little low but makes sense and should work fine.

Sadly, McIntosh keeps adding more and more products to that list, even after Charlie said it was something he would never do.
