I recently acquired a Shure V15 ii that I would like to try a SAS on. I just got a JICO elliptical on it now and it sounds fine. I do not want to pay 200 or 300 bucks for a stylus. For that money I'll buy a high end AT cart.

Lots of us want to know if the new product is "better", which is always a debate. It will be interesting to see how much the new product costs.

I am toying with the idea of the AT 120, 140 and 440 models. My Yamaha AX 596 has a MM phono stage and I like the fact you can change stylus on the mmmodel carts.

Have a few, now I guess they are vintage SAS stylii and am anxious to give the rebirth'd, is that a word, stylii a try. Was always pleased with the SAS previously so a side by side will be interesting.

If you are interested in the AT 120, 140 and 440 models you should actually go the full route and check the 150mx and 160ml. Buy a 120 and then get the best AT stylus that you can find for it and you will be a very happy camper. The stylus is the sound....all those bodies are pretty much the same internally. I have an AT 160ML that is probably the best sounding MM cartridge that I have, but I have to say that I have a Shure V15 RS with a Jico SAS VN5XMR stylus on it that just blows my socks off. It sounds better than my Shure V15 Type III with the original stylus on my system.

Ii have a nearly unused v15 Vxmr that i woiuld like to try an SAS on beacuase i have NEVER fully been satisfied with a stock shure stylus. there is just something unfinished about it. as you can see, i cannot put my finger on it. are the price ]s the same or did they get the bright idea to get richer?

I absolutely adore the V15RS and need a new stylus for it; unfortunately, while I would have been more than willing to pay old SAS prices, $244 is just out of my comfort zone. Looks like it'll be the LP Gear VividLine for me!

I agree.....it will be interesting to see what happens with their sales numbers at this new price point. I think that the V15RS is one of the most underrated cartridges around. It does sound like heaven with the vn5xmr sas stylus mounted on it. I am just going to hazard a guess and say that there will be a sale at some point or they will lower prices. I am not going to pay that much money for one after having purchased them for so much less. I guess it will also depend on reviews, but I really think that they have misjudged their market. My opinion only
