New Vista turntable in RCA tube console

Can I put a turntable from RCA New Vista solid state console into RCA tube console without additional preamplification

Console currently has RCA Studiomatic rp 218 in it that is not working. I do not know which turntable is in New Vista. Will find out. Thank you

Only if the cartridges are the same output type and level. "RCA tube console," is not specific enough.

True. As one example RCA had at least one tubed console that used an out of phase cartridge.

Its more about the cartridge than the turntable. The mechanics of the situation are not really important.

The donor console is an RCA victor VGt 13w. The receiving console would be RCA 4vf405

The cartridge in the 4VF405 IIRC is ceramic. If the headshell's are similar in size, you can swap turntables, and then install the cartridge from the 4VF405 in the new TT, and go from there. If the cartridge in the VGt 13w is also a ceramic, it's plug and play. A magnetic cartridge will require a phono preamp.

The turntables should be similar enough that one will drop into the other without much if any modifications to the mounting board.

Thank you. The phonograph from the 4vf04 plugs into the tuner preamp. Does this make a difference. I am a newbie so I have a lot of questions. Thank you to all, for your patience and advice
