No one has been looking at them for the last 50+ years.

:ntwrthy: I'm simply in awe . . .

But what I really want to know is when is the JBL New England listening party going to be held? You can't really keep this find to yourself . . . can you? It's almost an obligation to share your fantastic find. And nothing better than consensual validation to make that magic last even longer!

Congratulations and may they sing in your home soon. :thmbsp:

I'm extraordinarily jealous. Those are amazing.:thmbsp::thmbsp:

My place is tiny, you are going to have to take a number and wait in line.

just an amazing story and such gorgeous speakers - may you enjoy them for many many years!

I just thought of this - if you have a BIG room with four square corners, all you need is a Paragon for the ultimate surround sound system!

Just to be clear- I had to sell the first pair, and just about everything else, to buy these.

My jaw's on the floor. The chance to obtain such a pair comes along maybe once in a lifetime if you're lucky. Very cool that you were able to get them. Those things are stunning!!!

I typically don't continue to think about many of the great finds that are shared in this forum. But I am honestly still quite amazed, and pleasantly so, that these fell into the hands of one of our members. How easily these could have ended up with someone else, albeit, given they were pricey, another audiophile, we would not have had the opportunity to vicariously share the experience of a 50 year old pristine set of audiophilia.

Most all of us will never get to hear them, of course, but we do get to learn more about history AND prove there are still great finds out there to be had.

Agreed.

Really an amazing find, it's too bad these kinds of old super-speakers are rare here in Sweden. We do have some Carlsson Sonab speakers circulating, but that's about it. They were around $200 in the 70s (correct me if i'm wrong). These are a lot, lot, lot more expensive and I am really impressed you managed to find a second pair. I am totally amazed at the condition too. Totally. I would love to hear them.

+1 for Australia also.

The Yanks don't know how good they've got it...

Tom, you find the most amazing speakers . . I still tell friends about those refrigerator sized BBC monitors I witnessed . . . WOW . . .

True 'nuff!

I'll start working on that pronto! Would love to see you!
