Pictures of Cats on Audio Gear

She is sooooo cute! This is undoubtedly my favorite thread. Thank you to all of you for sharing photos of your little ones.

She’s a little annoyed that she has to take medication now, but she’s really smart and starting to figure it out. I’ve been giving her liquid forms of her medicine, but the pills if she takes them on her own is a lot easier to administer. Her brothers take their pills with no issues but she’s super sassy so trying to get a pill in her mouth isn’t fun. I’ve started to wrap them in pill pockets and crushed up dried salmon treats. She will usually take them that way but if she feels it’s a pill she spits it right out. I may just have to keep her on liquid just hard to do that 2x a day. I love her tho so she may have to fight me 2x a day from now on. lol

This is Gary. He owns the place. Was born upstairs. Likes to hunt frogs. Prefers dub and funk metal but will tolerate anything but vacuum cleaners.

We've come to an agreement and he no longer tries to ride the turntables. Never touches the grills.

Oh he's handsome!!

Yea mine never touches the speaker grills either, hunter likes to perch on the speakers but never once has he damaged them.

It's probably the yelling, but they learned quickly that speakers aren't for scratching.

Had cats and audio for my whole life. The only time I've ever had one of the cats damage anything was when Gary's mom had a legit seizure in front of one of my karlsonators. I watched her arm go out, paw landed on the cone. Don't scratch it, but then her claws popped out and it was like a drum being punctured. Crazy to have seen.

All of my speakers except for my big magnavox console are up high, the mag on the other hand is looking a little shabby now so the plan is to pull the fronts off and re-cover with some brown terry towel. Might go with some of that VOX brown speaker grill cloth, I mean it is a magnaVOX right?

@Row-bear-tow

Yes, cats love music. Our 3 are the same, so your little guy is into jazz? That’s really cool. Hunter and Benji are the same way, they love relaxing in front of the gear listening to jazz and instrumental, Charlotte on the other hand will listen to absolutely anything and everything with me. I think they like the low frequency.

I love it, thanks for sharing that John!
I just came to the realization that when we brought Frankie home from the Humane Society he was very timid and had just been through a couple of surgeries. So, in order to get him acclimated to the new home I would put jazz on low volume and just get him used to being petted and handled by us. That was our first connection with him. :)

They are little life changers, I love them so much. Frankie is a great name too, he looks like he’s well taken care of!!
