I am listening to your dream system right now . It is just as awesome as you would dream it would be . Michael Stanley Band's Stagepass is in the CD player right now . I can't imagine a nicer "dream" system with Pioneer components . :thmbsp::thmbsp:

How about a PIONEER SPEC 2 IT MAY BE STILL A TOP DOG AT 340 WPC!!!! But the Pioneer M-91 Elite power amp holds strong also at 2x 200W (8 Ohm, 20Hz...20Khz, 0,003% THD)

Someday you can come over, listen to an 18w el84 tube out of a magnavox console, some tannoy's and listen to some goodness.

All this 200/300w watt stuff is totally useless.

Pioneer made a japanese market EL84 stereo tube amp, would love to get my hands on one of those.

Agreed. My M-22 is only 30wpc and the Dynacos are 60. Both sound better than my Spec 2.

BK I will take you up on that. But I have to say that even 18w tube gearout on $1700.00 tannoy's would be exceptional sounding. But I would probably like to hear them out of your Pioneer SX1280 as well and see the difference for myself. Who knows I could amplify it to the volume I need to truly feel the music with an M-91

"Not talking cigar's" Who are the people that have strived and worked for what they have because they are die hard Pioneer and have it because they worked for it and sacrificed "Did without" to the have and aquire the Pioneer gear that they have. What is your vice.

I also like the D7000, it may not fetch top $$$, but I like the way it looks, it looks like a big bad a$$ integrated amplifier

But there is definitely a difference when you feel the music [Physiclly as well as emotionally makes a difference" Maybe it an Old disco day thing. I like to knock myself over with the bass at very low levels of distortion. Best of both. I guess the the best way to decribe it it was the disco era before rave's came along.

I'm listening to my dream Pioneer: a Series 20 A-27. It is essentially a M-25 with a modified C-21 that adds much of the SPEC 1 conveniences. MM and MC phono capability with adjustable loading and capacitance is a big plus for me. It took me three years to find one within driving distance (150 miles radius) so I didn't have to ship this 56lb beast!

There is an AK thread on Exclusive gear and that is the only place I've seen any. However, you have a very nice set of Pioneer equipment! I suspect the F-28 may be rarest.

Where are you going to listen to 300w, seriously? Most listening is done between 1w and 10w. Last night I had the setup turned up half on the C4 pre, I could feel the bass through the hand rails on the stairs, if I were to guess I was pushing 5-7w through the maggy. The big watt receivers are simply to say "i've got one", my 1280 rarely pushes more than 10w yet it can put out close to 200.
