I finished up the race car engine/trans rebuild and install last night. All that's left is checking trans fluid when hot. So now, hopefully, it's on to fishing.

I just took a 3 1/2 week LOA from the shopping hordes at Costco (I'm fine, just being cautious) and will spend much of it cleaning up the crapstacks here. But I do want to take some time to flatten and finish my live edge walnut slab for a desk top. I cut it to length a few weeks back and need to build the router jig for it.There's also a spalted white softwood piece I want to craft into a sewing machine table too.

Made this old school bus sign lit and flashing alteratively using pair of BD679s in an astable circuit powered by an old 12v laptop power brick. Mounted it in garage, when the overhead opens it turns on for 5 min to remind the wife to stop. Now I'm bored again.

I screwed the garage door to the wall and cut off the overhead runners and put them in storage in case they are needed by the next owner. Then I built a false wall.

I've got an amp to box-up [easy], and a preamp to finish [a bit more difficult].
But today I thinking I may need something more escapist.
I'm considering replaying a classic old game.
To do a 100% play-through could take me a month or two.

Could also set myself up to digitize my 45's [only 3500 more to go!].
Takes little brains, but the process is still complicated enough that it might take my mind off other things.
Something rote like that could be just the ticket.
