I'll see if I can dig up some photos or if some of the ones I took yesterday are good enough to post. It'll have to be later though because I'm on the laptop right now.

In the meantime you can have a look at the thread in the link below which I posted last summer at the Swedish forum where I'm a administrator/moderator. There's no need to understand what's being said since the photos speak for them selves. They're taken between 1 and 3 am the night between June 12'th and 13'h 2006 in Uppsala, Sweden.

(You can see that there's a quite a bit of noise in the pictures and the dynamic range also hits the roof sometimes. Those photos were taken with the old compact, nowadays I use a DSLR.)

Zten: some very nice shots there. I like, especially, the high-contrast pictures of the (I think) church, and the textures of the bricks and mortar.

As I wrote above the photos were taken between 1 and 3 am at night and the following day (and the day before) was a weekday so there's no surprise there are no people out. Of course I saw some people, though not many, but I was not interested in photographing people so I waited until they'd passed by.

At that time of year (middle of June), it never gets really dark at night if the weather is good, the sun sets very late and rises early. If you go up to northern Sweden in the summer the sun doesn't set at all. This part of Sweden is sometimes referred to, for obvious reasons, as the land of the midnight sun.

I was in your lovely country last month for a week (Stockholm and Kalmar) and look forward to returning for another business trip in June. Beautiful places, extremely gracious and friendly people- just glad I was on business expenses, because things aren't exactly cheap there, eh.
