No, it's not exactly cheap which might have something to do with the high taxes. In fact I think we have the highest total tax in the world... Just the VAT is 25% on most things although it's about half that on some things like food and books. On the other hand we have lots of welfare and free education, but lets not get into that since that's politics. I could go on about pros, cons and if money is spent in the right places for hours on end but this is not the place to do so. What can be said is that there are major differences between the US and Sweden on several levels. One more factor is that the USD is weaker compared to the Swedish currency than it was just a few years ago. When I was in the US (San Diego and Fort Collins/Denver/Rockies) in 2001 you had to pay something like 10 SEK or 11 SEK for 1 USD and now it's down to just under 7 SEK for 1 USD, as you understand this makes a big difference.tentoze said:

Not a very dramatic sunset but still quite nice:
Now over to something that you guys (and ladies) on this board will like, my SX-980 which I have in the bedroom. :yes: The photo is HDR so it's actually several pictures of different exposure combined into one.
I think I have some decent ones from Saturday when went for a long walk and brought the camera. They're in raw-format so I need to process them first, but I'll post one or more of them when I get round to doing so.

Well, previously I promised I would post some shots from last saturday so I'll better make good on that one...
Two male mallards (I actually had to look that up, not the type of bird but what they're called in English).
They've just come out of the water, or rather the ditch, (might have been because of that obnoxious caracter with a camera...) which is why the head is so shiny.
No leaves on the trees yet...
What moron put a tree right in my photo, it would have been so much better without it. Maybe I should return on a nice day with a chainsaw...

This "thing", which is situated in a cemetery, is a large strange looking sculpture out of copper with bells in it.

Don't even know who this guy is, he just showed up at the party we were having and started doing his thing.
