Prove it to me. This is a test.

It is a test.

Prove to me that Earth is not at the center of the solar system, or the universe for that matter, just based on sky observations.

It was close observations that suggested we were NOT at the center. Record keeping of how much sunlight as the year progressed to comets schedules and yearly meteor showers all played a roll. What throws off the early observations is the moon always facing us. Long distance sailing and the changes of the night sky added to this red flag that we were NOT at the center. Other Astronomy buffs can chime in too!

Those can all be explained geocentrically.
Sunlight changes are only related to axial inclination, which can precess (and does).
Comets and meteors still come and go, regardless.
What night sky changes do you refer?

How does one define "center" of the universe when we dont have a good grasp of the dimensions of what were gauging?

Also what does it matter? It seems to be a question of subjective perceptions.

Lastly I think the earth gets its fair share of shine in the grand scheme of things.

I dont feel short changed at least. LOL

It doesn't matter unless one has intellectual curiosity. I was just curious.
Based on what I've been getting here so far, I have my answer I suppose. A larger sample size won't be of help.

Simple, Venus Mars and all the planets IIRC move back and forth, left and right in their obits. In a circular motion. Move to the left and right throughout the year. If the Earth were the center this would not happen.

Prove to me that Earth is not at the center of the solar system,
You just proved it yourself by saying solar system is just that a very large star that holds other smaller masses in orbit around it from gravity. Each of these other smaller masses also repeats what our star does by holding other even smaller masses in orbit with gravity around them.
So we are not the center of the solar system, because we can't be, the sun is. Now if you want to say we are the center of earths system yes we are.
or the universe for that matter,
No one has made the claim that the Milky Way Galaxy is the center of the Universe. No one ever made the claim that our stars solar system is in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Pick up copies of Galileo's two publications, "Sidereus Nuncius" and "Dialogue Concerning The Two Chief World Systems".

A bit of a read but all of your questions can be answered there, if you have the time.

Everybody knows that the Kardashians are the center of the universe.
I thought it was opera singers...

You know, the old joke about light bulbs...

Q: How does an opera singer screw in a lightbulb?

A: She holds the bulb and the universe rotates around here.
