Prove it to me. This is a test.

Toilet paper aisle is the center of the universe. It's one giant black hole that devours all paper products that happen to get into its orbit.

Truth, right there. Last time I went into the store, the entire aisle was wiped clean. We have a service do the shopping for us and now, each time we put in an order, they text us while they are shopping and ask if we need any TP. I did grab a pack of the store brand but I'm sure it's like sandpaper. But better that than the alternative. :D

You just proved it yourself by saying solar system is just that a very large star that holds other smaller masses in orbit around it from gravity. Each of these other smaller masses also repeats what our star does by holding other even smaller masses in orbit with gravity around them.
So we are not the center of the solar system, because we can't be, the sun is. Now if you want to say we are the center of earths system yes we are.

No one has made the claim that the Milky Way Galaxy is the center of the Universe. No one ever made the claim that our stars solar system is in the center of the Milky Way Galaxy.

Before Galileo the Catholic Church believed the earth was the center of the universe.
The poor guy was convicted of heresy.

Back in those days some would consider his findings a conspiracy theory.

4-2-7 unfortunately there are some folks on this forum that discount an experts points of view as conspiracy theories.
They ignore the facts because they do not believe them and call them uneducated fools.

BTW I am not referring to you .

I took 427's statement about the center of the galaxy to mean "not in the modern era", i.e. after Hubble found there are other galaxies in, what, 1920? By that time science already understood the motion of planets and stars, so already Earth was not the center of the solar system or the galaxy (which we thought was the universe, until Hubble).

Obviously the Catholic Church was a bit slow on the uptake. But it has its own observatory now and totally gets (and supports) science.

It is a test.

Prove to me that Earth is not at the center of the solar system, or the universe for that matter, just based on sky observations.

We can't even 'prove' to you that we exist. You have to 'believe' in something at some point.

Science is nothing more than a belief system, a sub-branch of philosophy.

Science can't prove anything, other than the fact it needs more funding for further research.

Can you prove he's dead though? Or that he can't still argue?

I just talked to Fiorello LaGuardia for an hour, and he's been dead for 40 years.
