There is a story behind it, but I've got to run my youngest son to work.

Best Regards,

That is very nice looking. How's it sound?

Just finished these a few days ago and I'm loving them. This is the Manzanita design posted over on DIYaudio in the multi-way speaker section. Peerless 12" woofer and Seas tweeter on an open baffle. F3 at 40hz...

You guys with horn systems are so lucky! I would love to have high efficiency horns in my house. Alas, it's to small........

Here is a link to the Auto Tuba. http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/autotuba.html.. i am building it for my son's car. It will have an 8" MCM driver. All i have left to do is bondo all of the screw holes, sand ,and paint. I plan on painting it just a basic black. I'll post the finished pictures soon.

The opening where you mount the driver,is that to remain exposed or could you seal it off with maybe a piece of plexi-glass ? just curious, didn't here anything on that...

The driver compartment will get a cover put on it, and it will have the terminal cup installed in it. I also like the idea of the plexiglas.

All finished, i have been using it with my stereo on my computer. As soon as my son gets his car i will install it in his trunk...Maybe!!:D

I have built the larger Tuba 30 version from the BF design. WOW was it evr explosive. I am sure you will be duly amased at the output of that sub and the size it is.

To bad my sub turned out to large for me to use in the home, the guy that bought it off me used it in a large HT set up in his home, tucked away in a closet. It lit up the room like nothing else. I am a wild believer in Bill's design work. It takes a bit of time for assembly but really pays off big in sound!

If you have neaver heard a good corner horn or any good horn loaded design you MUST put it on your list to do! It is explosive to say the least......

Your effort looks quite good and well made!

I agree with dc270...Looks very well made . Your topcoat appears to be a rubberized stonegaurd sprayed over with semi-gloss ?? In the ballpark ?? Avyways, looks great :thmbsp:
