Show Us Your LP Posters

Alice Cooper is one of the great ones in my opinion and this album is the same:thmbsp:

I listen it very much specially "no more Mr nice guy":music:

Downstairs, from my parents collection, we have a Eagles live poster...not too cool, just a aerial view of a bunch of people waiting before the concert.

We also have a Beach boys poster, which is a couple of biplanes with signs, it's alright...nowhere near as cool as those posted:yes:

I think the trick is trying to remember what LP's came with a poster. :headscrat

Great thread!!
Yep posters are another fatality of the good old days. Can you imagine on many folds would be in one that came in a CD?? Yeah, I know you can't fold paper more than 8 times :D

So where's the Beatles from the White Album, the classic Dylan from "Greatest Hits" or The Who's Maximum R&B from Live at Leeds?? Mine are both in the LPs..

I've got the PF pyramids, the white album one, and of course the one that comes with the motley crue picture disc. :D

I'm not home though so I can't post any pics for now.

I'm still searching for the Dylan Greatest Hits with the poster. I've seen dozens of copies without it. :tears: I found Live At Leeds in a thrift a few months ago in nice shape. It had all the inserts except that crucial Townshend poster...

I never knew the UK Combat Rock came with that poster. Awesome.

Great thread. Here's a couple examples where the cover was a poster...Rod Stewart's "Every Picture..." and the Band's "Moondog Matinee"....Gotta love all the extras so often included in '70s rock releases--posters, stickers, lyric sheets, bonus 45s etc....

A personal favorite, along with the original theatrical release poster, a poster from a guitar magazine, and an 8 x 10 B&W:

All I can think of off of the top of my head is the 8x10 that came with Steve Martin's "A Wild and Crazy Guy" and the signed 12x12 that came with my Tegan and Sara vinyl box set. I also have the Chicago at Carnegie Hall ones that were mentioned.

Cool Stuff Meggy. It's hard to remember which lp's have posters in them. Wish I had some of my old stuff, like the Fish Game etc.

Thanks. It is hard to remember. They're really a gas though, aren't they? Some are more common than others. Tull's Thick As A Brick's newspaper is fairly easy to find.

Some just scary weird.

Ike & Tina's 1972 Let Me Touch Your Mind. The jacket itself turns into a "poster" of some sort (look at the attachments right to left).
