Haven't seen it here yet, so I thought I post it. Never thought I would see this but it has now been done.

Saw this a while back, though I caught the Video(youtube link).

It's a really, really neat idea...and I love steam engines, however, his player needs some..er...help. The platter doesn't sit well, and the steam engine provides loose regulation. Adding a flywheel may very well help it greatly, i'd love to see a updated version, just for kicks.

Of course, nothign can save the noise from the steam exhaust. All I can say is it's really cool, but thank god for DC motors

Oh yeah, great looking piece, though i'd prefer a Stirling engine (especially since it would have better, more linear action).

Heck, if one were to get really crazy, a Tesla Turbine would be a sweet motor
