Worthy project.
I built a Sansui AU-717 from a pile of parts that came in a basket. Kind of fun at the end.
Just snap photos as parts get installed and upload to share.
Better than watching the news.

Lucky for you that you already have one grail on your tabletop as inspiration. If things get really tense, you can always fill that one with Seven Crown (a.k.a., Pondering Potion) while you sort out the next steps.

Yes. AK has guided me through several restorations. Couldn't do it without this fine bunch.
Not sure the staple gun will be much help, ... but the duct-tape under it might!

Well, I just dug thru all my nooks and crannies and here is what I have to work with...Mark got me thinking about the molex connectors so I rounded them up first...have all I need with a few to spare. This 1250 is the one I have referred to as my "donor carcass" in previous posts. I bought it for parts in early 2014 and have been scavenging it for other projects ever since. So, there are several things I am missing but nothing that is really hard to find. I also have been picking up parts over the years whenever I see something I might need later, so not all you see here came from the original "donor carcass". This is going to be a rather slow process but it looks like I have about another 2-3 weeks of quarantine left here in Louisiana. I'm gonna start by getting the chassis and heatsinks back together and taking inventory of parts I need to locate....

if you've never restored a "basket case motorcycle" you will be well trained for it after this adventure. me thinks you suspect the chicom 19 will never end!
My brother and I built a Montesa Scorpion 250 motorcycle in high school from parts given to us in several boxes by a neighbor. Only 2 of the 5 gears worked when we were done, but it ran well (quite a feat for any Montesa honestly). Hope your ambitious project triumphs over ours
