The Good Morning (Your First Logon for the Day) Thread

Morning all, a brisk 282°K (49°F/9°C) and breezy, clear blue sky. Kidney and bladder routine ultrasound this morning, young lady doing it was bright and chippy throughout, either a good actor or good test. Going food shopping in a little while. Must get big (10.5 hp) snow blower out, service pickup on Thursday. Just a little too chilly for reading on front porch, but we'll see. Keep safe!

Good morning! Clear and lower 70s F for the walk, going to 93. Predicting dry until about 30% chances on the weekend.
Today: HVAC co. returning to replace a leaky gas pipe they discovered during inspection yesterday. Everything else about both systems is A+. The tech told me they apparently got some bad pipes about a year ago and they are now showing up. Yipes! but glad they caught it.
Tonight: big camera club B&W SIG. I haven't submitted anything, but it's always great to see what others have done.

Have a great day!

TMI: Sleep doc said I am on the edge for needing the CPAP, so continue; can use the new mask that I tolerate better even though it is leakier than the old one.

Good Day,

We're having a great time in Maine.
Sunday we biked 13 miles in Hallowell, ate lunch outdoors at the Liberal Cup restaurant. Simple yet well done fare. Listened to the Patriots win inside at the bar.

Monday we went to Portland. Did our usual ride around the cove and into the old port. Spent the afternoon ducking in here and there, records were too expensive to buy any. Packed our own shrimp salad on croissants and just ordered some fries to go at Duck Fat. Biked about 9 miles.
Too full for a beer at Belleflower, so got a 4 pack to go.

Planned to bike Damariscotta today, but a bit too windy and cold to bike ....High of 58. The last 2 days were 68. Hopefully warmer weather returns tomorrow.

I picked up my clamming license at the town hall this morning , $12. Never had anybody ask me for it, but it's the right thing to do. Low tide is in an hour, so after this I'll be getting fresh air and shellfish.

I hope you all have a great day,
Cheers

Good morning, y'all! We have 98 and sunshine here today. I got a few chores done early and had some eggs for breakfast. I got the deck tidied up in anticipation of the lawn guy who should be here pretty soon. I have a lunch date with Sweetie Pie for cheesesteaks at our favorite place that's operated by a Chinese family. We think it's the best in town.
Saints got crushed at home last night, as did my fantasy team. C'est la vie. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good morning. It’s 58°F going to 78. Looks to be an exceptionally nice day. I’m running to the gym for weights and then a swim. After that, who knows?

I think I might have mentioned that my legacy WIndows XP computer died. I thought it was the boot drive and was able to run chkdsk on it, lock up some bad sectors, and get it running find but a few leeks later it died again. Anyway, after massing around as bunch I think it’s the video card. The fan on the GPU quit and eventually that card overheated. It will work for a bit, but not long enough to boot up. I’m going to look for a used one online. I think it’s ATI, PCI something. In the meantime, the device I ordered to turn an IDE drive into a USB drive should arrive today and I can do a bit more backing up.

Good morning, 48°F/9°C (282°K for @elcoholic :p) and fair. Seems we just avoided the "first frost" predicted for last night, but will know for sure when I get to the cemetery this morning.

"The Mighty Husky" snow blower started on 5th pull yesterday afternoon, quite good as I wasn't able to siphon the old gas out at end of last season. Got her positioned for pick up tomorrow under her own power rather than me having to bull across the yard and up a hill. Needs the service, won't low idle and cables are way out of adjustment or stretched. Hey, "She ain't brand new" as they used to say at the fire station.

Trees are starting to turn, hope there is some color left when we get to the White Mountains this weekend for our anniversary.

Keep safe all!

Mornin’ Friends,
87f and sunny today, 71f presently. Tricia is having an up to 4 hours battery of memory and cognition testing today at the neuropsychologist. It’s been 4 years since the first baseline testing which found nothing not age appropriate. I’m going to deal with open enrollment and a forced Medicare Advantage plan change for the second year in a row this morning. Have a great day,
John

Good morning! Lower 70s F and scattered clouds for the walk, going to 96.

Gas leak on the furnace feed got fixed yesterday, all set for the winter if it ever arrives.
Today was going to be the monthly Photoshop Zoom, canceled due to host having some last minute conflict. He has already warned us that schedule may be irregular in the future. Now the afternoon is open; I may just catch up on some reading.
Zoom presentation on micro LEDs late afternoon/evening.

Have a great day!

TMI: more IBS effects this morning. There's always some, but I made the situation worse by going to bed late, so missing some sleep time when it's not active.
Spent time yesterday playing phone tag with sleep doc's office and CPAP supplies ordering, as they require a fresh prescription before selling supplies. Prescription was supposedly faxed but got lost somewhere. Also double checked whether they copied records to my primary doc, and they hadn't.

Good morning, y'all! We have 97 and sunshine here today. We're headed out shortly for Covid and flu shots this morning. We'll stop at TJ's for food and wine on the way home. There are no other plans for today. I might try to get down to the record store, though. Have an awesome day, everyone!

Good morning. It’s 4:00am and I couldn’t sleep so the day has started. It’s 49°F going to 80. Wow, another gorgeous day. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and then things go downhill with snow predicted. I plan to get the motorcycle out tomorrow for a long ride, maybe the last for a while. Today I am doing some baking before meeting a friend for a beer this afternoon.

In the continuing saga of my old computer, I have decided to buy a used video card and get things back up and running. In the meantime, the gizmo that connects the IDE boot drive to USB arrived and worked great. I was able to do a complete backup to an external drive with both connected to a laptop through a USB hub. Some might say why bother getting a 20-year old computer running but they also raise an eyebrow when I say I am listening to an 8-track tape while I’m doing the work. I assume most of you fully understand.

Good morning, y'all! We have 97 and sunshine here today. I have breakfast with the vets and Sweetie Pie is going to brunch with her girlfriend. I woke up in the middle of the night freezing cold and shivering. I wrapped up in a fleece and a sleeping bag, but it still took about 40 minutes to calm down and warm up enough to go back to bed. Must've been a reaction to the Covid shot. Very weird. Hope everyone has an awesome day!

Good morning! Sunny with a few lonesome clouds, lower 70s F going to 96. Skipping the walk to wait for the landscapers to arrive, hypothetically 15 minutes ago. Things are really overgrown. Supposed to trim the topiaried tree drastically, which I am warned will leave it brown until new growth covers it.

Yesterday's open schedule filled up, of course - drafts of updated will and powers of attorney were ready for pickup; telephone tag to order new CPAP supplies finally got completed.

Last week I discovered that a backup USB stick containing all the world's fair photos I have purchased (over 75 CDs worth) was failing. Searching files took forever and failed to find everything, then when I formatted it and tried to recopy from the original, it quit at 25%. I never expected to see a failed one in my lifetime, but my expectations have been adjusted! I ordered a new one and it took several hours to copy everything over. I may order a third one, to have two backups. I have three copies of my CD music library on USB, but that wasn't out of caution so much as wanting to play it in the car as well as at home.

Have a great day!

Morning, people all.

A great day!
Lots of sun.
Clear sky.
No rain.
Dog's fed.
SO's asleep!

All's good.

Been lookin' over
"shares" offered,
and with no calamities
in the mix, looks like
most on course
walkin' this road,
we call life.

And yes, we've all
have parts breakin'
down to a degree,
but still... lookin'
DOWN at the "roses",
staid of UP.

Couldn't sleep
last night. Not
sure why?
A look at
the NEWS
might have
done it.
Melatonin,
only works
for a while.

Already missing
being on the deck
with our mutt.
And, he's
finally adjusted
to my music. :music:
He still hates
"RAP"...as do I.
Bonding Time!

Wish I had had
words of
encouragement...
Might have without
intent. :dunno:

Still get a kick,
and always
learn outta
y'all with your
wise words.

Head's up now...
and full steam ahead!
