Anyway- Tu-Sa, I am working to midnight, then go straight to bed. I have various mixes from Whitewildbear playing as I am headed into the subconscious then....

NOT last post of the night, but thought it appropriate here...this is June 21, "longest day of the year," and cloud cover (rain clouds?) moving in.

Good evening- that'll do it for me. We are fixin' for a superb outdoor firepit dinner on cast iron cookware, excellent 80s Mixtape streaming to the portable iPod Hifi, watching for the twilight wedge to the east, and then into dusk and skywatching and ? .

I'm gonna call it day here now. Dinner this eve will be light- cheese and meat tray, fruit, raw vegetables from the plot, a hot fondue oil pot, and some bourbon and vodka is out. It'll be outside (as is more often than not in the warm months). Probably a film, tbd, later.

More of you should use this "other bookend" to the Good Morning thread.

Good evening all! Momma is making some of her famous pan fried chicken, yum. I'm having a cold beer after working in the garage all afternoon. The van's interior is almost as fresh as the day we bought it.

Just need to finish my beer, then take a shower before dinner.

So that's a wrap. It's time to start the 4-way dinner prep for the pit. It'll be a great eve.
It's still pretty hot/muggy here so I'll leave the actual cooking to others and take a dip in the pond.
The iPod hifi is tooting out some Ukrainian traditional folk from a phone stream.

Time to close down another AK day. Looks like it's chicken shish-kebobs and sides on the pit. After dark, we'll do marshmallows, s'mores and caramel apples over the embers. This will be...

Well, this will be it for me today. I've been told to pack for 2 days and we're leaving in an hour. We are going to an un-named place for a reason that I know- hope I am not to be killed . So I won't be back here.

2:00 already. Been hanging pictures, opening more boxes. Bore scoped the cantilevered deck off the living room and that didn't show much so, we cut open a few holes to get a better look. The top layer definitely needs to be replaced so that entails quite a bit of work. Out for bid.
