Thorens TD 160 spinning slow

I am looking for some advice on how to fine tune the platter speed? The TT is running 32.7 rpm. It has a new Thorens belt, lubrication and the AC is wired to the proper poles on the underside.

Fine tune your phone's RPM app. Tweak it, punch in a calibration factor and make it make you think it's 33.33 RPM. You can't tell the difference anyway and for all we know the Thorens is running truer than that Asian accelerometer in your mobile device. If you really believe the speed is off - you can resort to gently adjusting the motor pulley azimuth in tiny, baby steps.

Agree with Tom. If your using the phone app, it will not be exact. Does it sound off when you play a record?

Thanks for the response tnsilver but it is off. I can hear it.

Check out the picture of the motor wiring and compare it with the schematic from the service manual. It looks to be wired up for 220VAC still.

The difference in the wiring is that on the TT the two black wires are tied together not matching the schematic which shows 1 black and the blue wire tied together. Is the schematic correct? or is that a misprint??

I re-flowed the solder on all of the motor points hooked it back up and it is spot on. I streamed a song on my phone and it matched the Thorens playback. There should be a test that people have to pass before they are allowed to buy a soldering iron.

You are correct. At first glance I thought the one capacitor was a resistor. See my post above: I reflowed the solder and all is working correctly.
