My Thorens TD 135 has started running a semi tone slow. I have changed the belt however it made no difference. It was running perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. I use it for mono and 78 rpm. Has anyone experienced this ?

Do you know that cross in the middle of the speed selection knob? It's actually a speed adjustment control. You should be able to turn that cross both ways. It controls the distance of an iron sled under the stepped pulley from the eddy break magnet and affects speed. If you can't turn it, the iron sled is stuck on frozen grease around the stepped pulley bushing so just clean it up and re-lube it. Allow a few seconds for the speed to adjust. There's a natural delay.
