I just picked up Genesis - "Duke." I always liked this album, but the recording was terrible, it made my system sound like I was listening to the album on a boombox. I'm glad I waited to buy it, because they re-mixed and re-mastered it and it sounds wonderful! It also includes a bonus DVD with some live concert footage (complete songs) a few videos and some interviews which I haven't watched yet. Although I like the earlier Genesis, with Gabriel and Hackett much better, this is one of the better albums from the Collins, Rutherford, and Banks period. On the live footage you get to see Darryl Sturmer play, he's damn good!

I just picked up Genesis - "Duke." I always liked this album ...On the live footage you get to see Darryl Sturmer play, he's damn good!

That period was far from my favorite version of Genesis, but I also liked Sturmer's playing, a lot.

Listened to this Monday or Tuesday of this week. First time in a couple of years. Its starting to grow on me.

Moody Blues...In Search of the Lost Chord.

It can be a tough listen especially for those unfamiliar with Tull. I don't know why, but this album grabbed me right away. Understanding the history behind the album helps quite a bit. The Hare Who Lost His Spectacles is the intermission piece between the two acts of the main story. Basically, it's about a man who dies and faces judgement and who is questioned by lucifer about his worthiness and so forth. Neat concept. I guess the whole thing was supposed to be a play. The Hare Who Lost His Spectactles was made into a play and the video of that is included in the remaster.

Quite all right. Couple of weeks ago I had my 14 year old son sit down and listen to the entire Thick as a Brick album (on vinyl of course) while he read the newspaper/album cover. :thmbsp: He was really impressed. Do not see me rabbit, indeed.

Meggy is looking for a vinyl copy of King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King." So I pulled out mine and transferred it to the hard drive to put on CD. Hadn't listened to it in a long time, still a great album. The more you listen the more you hear.
