VTA PH-16 Project.

Nice work so far.
Do you have any thin felt? If you cut a piece of felt, then cut a slit into it and then glue the felt to to the inside of the chassis over the selector slot. Then poke the selector shaft through the slit. It might help keep dust out of the selector switch itself.

Excellent idea. I’ll check what I have available.
On top I am going to install a plate, hope black aluminum if it is available, with the phono selection and model number.

This is a therapy, happiness is in the process.
Because I modified the original layout I am short in coaxial wire, otherwise I should pass over a B2 and this is not a good idea.

Checking the manual and few other pictures, in the net from other builders, seems like there is not an issue.
if its hum, I know from where is coming!

Hi to all.
The final voltage test passed flawless.
All wiring connected no hum, dead quiet!
The sound is outstanding deep and clear.
Thank to all of you that contribute and special thanks to @mkane and @Lavane for their company in this journey.

Note . The pilot light is missing but tonight should arrive.

At the moment, MC with the SOTA. At the moment the 24v wall wart that runs the Phoenix PS is not working so were using a different deck with a different phono stage.

How about yourself and whats your thoughts?

I am running MI, love american carts Pickering and Grado my favorite. Now i am playing pickering d-1200 retipped with nice stone Joseph sold me. Forgot the name but its kind of VL. Original D-1200 and this one no difference but nostalgia.
The VTA bring way more detail at low volume. Is like enjoy a V8 at 60mph.
Running electroarmonix now using default set up for MI. Later will play with the rest of the DIP switches.

Nice work! :thumbsup: I've used those LED's with a bazel. The pack I bought had resistors already. But they were still a little too bright. I need to put a higher value resistor with the one I put in a preamp. I did with a Subsonic filter I built, it worked out well.

The red lights are neon. Bought them long time ago when radio shack was still around. You can find them in the bay I guess but are limited.

So far the preamp is quiet no interference except from my kitchen dimmer that it is a known issue.

Wood base finished and installed, neon pilot light installed.
Last thing that remain is the phono selector plate. I am still not decided if is foing to be brass or aluminum.

That came out great! Personally I think I would want the selector switch accent piece to match the pilot light bezel.
Where did you find that pilot light? I like the large bezel.

The pilot light bought in Radio Shack moons ago. It is a neon one, 1/4” panel mount. The bezel, I made it and yeah a large bezel bring some character.
