And without doubt, been there and done that, just about all freshwater fish caught from northern USA Lakes is superb! Panfish like Crappie, Bluegill, Perch Bass, and yeah, Northern and Musky as well.
Our family was into boating. Lots of time with a dock on Sandusky Bay (Cedar Point and The Harbor) or Huron Lagoons.
Great times growing up on the water. Going to the "old" Cedar Point was a ritual as a kid and even as a young adult. It was a real blast having the boat docked there.
When I lived in the flatlands of northern Illinois we used to go to southwest Wisconsin to ride the hilly terrain. There was a small restaurant (not officially a Supper Club) where we would stop for lunch. One of their appetizers was Walleye cheeks. We thought it was a joke but were assured that they were indeed a real thing and were exactly what the name suggested, meat from the side of the Walleye's head. And they are delicious!
We have Northern Walleyed Pike in some lakes in Wyoming. There is nothing in the world like a minutes fresh caught Walleye cooked over a campfire right by the shore.
A very much overlooked relative of the Walleye is the Yellow Perch, It is roughly 1/3rd the size of a Wallyeye but just as tasty, and more widespread in fisheries.

A lot of folks actually prefer perch. I'll take either one (perch or walleye).
There used to be a lot of bars in NE Ohio that served fish and pierogis, especially during Lent. The fish used to be perch. No idea what they are serving these days, if they still have fish and pierogis.
We have pretty severe perch limits in Lake Erie around Cleveland (10 fish). Not like the old days.
Folks talk about how good fried catfish is. It's fertilizer compared to walleye and perch. ;-)
