Weekly Estate and Garage sale finds (pics)

Decided to spend an entire dollar on this 6100 TT last weekend. New belt and a couples tabs of oil and it is working perfect. Came with a Stanton 680EE cart, nothing fancy but certainly functional.

I have this turntable, use it almost daily and love it. Great find!

It even has the anti skating weight and Marantz headshell. Nice find.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the weight, thought for sure it would be gone. They also had this Denon DP-7F but wanted an outlandish 5$ because "it's a newer model". Damn I love garage sales.

It's probably good that i don't get the opportunities to buy equipment at such insanely low prices.
I can't pass up a great deal and would have stuff stacked everywhere!

Tell me about it!

I keep trying to reduce my collection and then something else I can't turn down shows up. Just spent all my lunch money on a lot of 5 pieces I couldn't say no to.

My spare room/office is full and no longer usable as an office. Also a spare space in the basement, and the family room are also full.

They multiply at night I tell you!

You keep saying 5 disc. I've had at least 7 of those players. Aren't they 6 disc?

I have currently the PD-M630, two models up from yours. Dual D/A converters (burr brown) and while it doesn't best my sony ps1, it is damned close, and a fine sounding player.

Enjoy, and you giving the rest to some youth with a music jones is great karma!

Yes, sorry. Six disc. Even better! My car has a 5 disc changer in the trunk and I just assumed it was a five also. It really is a decent CD player, especially for what I paid which is next to nothing. Very happy.

I put a new belt and a new stylus in that cheap Fisher Turntable (14 bucks via Amazon for both). I will donate it along with a receiver and speakers and tape deck to some young person that really wants to get into vintage audio. I know there are about six young guys in my neighborhood that would love to have it. I know I would have when I first got into audio. :)

I lusted after that Kenwood CD changer when it came out. 94-95 maybe? They came in silver and there was a receiver that matched. They were pretty elegant looking.

I have to say I love that 200 disc Kenwood changer. Didn't think I would. It's really excellent. The only down side is that it's HUGE. And the Kenwood Surround Sound Receiver is not exactly junk. It sounds GREAT in the patio.

Stopped at an estate sale at about 10:30 A.M. and I couldn't pass these up for $0.50 each. There were about 100 others but mostly country. All the stereo eqpt. was gone by the time I got there. Seller said people were lined up before the sale started. I didn't even ask what I missed out on.

In the house... mostly in basement, bedroom and spare room.
3200 square foot house.

I found these records for a total of $1.

ESF%20-%201_zpscyhx9bri.jpg

LPs
John Fahey-"The Yellow Princess"
Talking Heads-"Speaking in Tongues"

45s
Jimi Hendrix-"Purple Haze"
Standells- "Dirty Water"

At the same sale they had a stack of Pioneer gear(PL-7 missing one foot , CT-9191, SX-650, and HPM-40s needing refoam) they wanted $500 for and when I suggested they were a bit high on the price they said they could double that on-line. I was not even interested in any of it as I am being more selective due to the volume of stuff I have already accumulated. They were at full retail most stuff but being day 2 stuff was 25% off. I was surprised when they said $1 for the 4 records given that they started at $2/LP.

Found this beauty today at a flea market, $55.

Two bulbs were out (I had some laying around from a previous marantz tuner), and the knobs were crackling a bit, but after a good cleaning, it's singing!!!

Did excellent this morning. I planned on buying a Pair of Cornwalls, but ran into these KG4's at a yardsale.. Well, not really, the guy was selling off the contents of his grandfathers house and I asked if if there was any vintage audio. He took me down the basement and it was packed with 1000s of boxes and I saw these under them. Like new after cleaning except the rubber surround on the rear 12" speaker is pulling away from the cone in a tiny spot. Otherwise, they do not have a mark on them! They sound great.
I also grabbed a single AR2 speaker since he was selling in very cheap.

I got these Klipsch for less than a tank of gas.

You did very well. There a huge following of those Zenith Trans radios. Even destroyed ones are worth decent money for parts alone.
I also bought an incomplete Kenwood KD-2055 for $50 and the MCM wax paper/plastic wrap holder for $5.

It's a fundraiser for a local women's shelter.
