What bourbon are you drinking today?

Important to keep in mind that Blanton's being a single barrel bourbon, the taste profile from barrel to barrel is usually somewhat different...since Barton 1792 is owned by Buffalo Trace, I would guess that the Kirkland Bourbon uses either BT Mashbill #1 or #2, both of which are "secret"...the Kirkland mash bill is also unlisted, so the story fits in that respect...regardless there seems to be consistent praise for the Costco offering, so either the price, the quality, or both are appealing to many.

Yea I know all about Blanton, have had many bottles and still have a few. I don’t dislike it, it’s just not something I’d grab for often.

I'm sure I'm one of the very few people that do not belong to Costco, so no I haven't had their bourbon...I still have some connections with my old wholesale house so I have some access to Buffalo Trace and Heaven Hill bourbons...aside from bourbon, Heaven Hill has Bernheim Wheated Whiskey which I like and Buffalo Trace recently released Traveller, a blended whiskey collaboration between Harlan Wheatley and Chris Stapleton...it's a bit on the light side, but easy to drink and well-blended.

Yea I didn’t have a Costco membership either, ours lapsed as we never go. We needed to go recently so I had my wife re-enroll or whatever it is to get in the store.

You know I’ve wanted to try the traveler but haven’t been able to find it in my area. They had it at Safeway but it sold out. You are also the 3-4th person who has said they like it.

A single barrel BT.

The local Safeway got 2-3 bottles of it. The guy in back I have known for years and he sets aside allocated bottles for me as he knows I’m going to drink them and not resell them.

just a few weeks ago he got me a bottle of stagg to $65 bucks.
