What is regarded as the best value to sound amp or receiver Sansui has ever produced?

I owned a 2000X a while back and kick myself for selling it. What else is regarded as some of the best pieces when you factor in sound and value together?

Every Sansui sounds as good as their value imo.

This is such a subjective question, and there will be a multitude of opinions given as answers. Made more complicated still by the evolution of the Sansui sound over a period of 3 decades.

I'd concur with the AU-555a and AU-505 as good answers, I'd add the 5000/A/X receivers, though maybe not such an exceptional value anymore given current pricing trends. The earlier cap coupled gear still holds the greatest appeal to me for it's signature sound, though I find later offerings up through the X balanced era quite satisfying to listen to.

Have a Sansui 4000 which is a great receiver lots of them show up on the bay for cheap picked up mine for 80 dollars awhile back needed cleaning and lamps but still a great deal.

To back up Bolero, a 2000"X", but if you find a smokin deal on a 2000"A", grab it. Indistinguishable in visual and SQ. You'll need a scope to see difference in Power.

Best value has to be the 210 receiver assuming you have sympathetic speakers.
Everything else seems to have climbed dramatically in price from what i see for sale (UK) so maybe a little different to (US)prices.
